Most methods to quantify aldehyde levels, such as HPLC-MS and GC-MS, can be expensive or tedious. This assay uses an efficient, mix-and-read method that is both sensitive and accurate to a level of 0.3 nm/100µL. In the assay, proprietary sensor reacts with aldehyde to produce a chromogenic product. Signal increases with increasing aldehyde levels, and can be read with absorbance microplate reader between 620 and 660 nm.
